While the bar may look welcoming at first glance , what I found behind its threshold was appalling and beyond comprehension .

The floorboards were filthy, and a foul smell of decaying beverages and filthy restrooms suffused the entire bar . Emitting a scent of a mixture of excrement , old age and sickness . The serving zone , which should be the primary feature of any pub, was piled high with used mugs and debris that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages . The bathroom was in even more deplorable shape —overflowing , with a broken handle and walls covered in what I can only assume was human excrement .

Based on the experiences shared online and talking to people around , it seems that the standard of sanitation (or lack thereof) at Masterson’s is a well-known flaw . Many guests have reported seeing bugs darting across the counter and proof of vermin in the adjoining rooms.
